Supporting your mental health with Blanca Mendoza, MS, LMFT 105828
¡Bienvenidos! I'm a bilingual (Spanish/English) therapist dedicated to helping individuals and families heal from inter-generational trauma and life’s many challenges. My work focuses on adolescents, first-generation students, and adults who are navigating self-image, identity, and cultural expectations. I believe our histories and roots deeply shape our well-being, and I integrate cultural awareness with traditional psychotherapy to support growth and resilience. My experience includes work with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, ADHD, and relational struggles. I strive to create a collaborative, compassionate space where healing can take root and thrive.
I earned my Master’s in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from California State University, Sacramento in 2012. My approach is relational and strengths-based, while also being directive when clients need clear guidance and strategies. I draw from trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tools, and mindfulness practices, always with a deep respect for cultural identity and lived experience. Together, we work on healing our roots so you can grow with more strength, balance, and resilience in the present.
Therapy Services
Finding the right therapist is important. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation where we can connect, talk about your needs, and see if my approach feels like the right fit for you.
Individual sessions provide a safe, confidential space to explore personal challenges, develop coping strategies, and work toward meaningful growth. Sessions are typically 50 minutes and usually held weekly, though we can adjust the frequency as needed—sometimes every two weeks or once a month—based on your goals and progress. We tailor each session to your needs, using evidence-based strategies along with culturally informed, strengths-based methods.
The intake assessment is your first appointment, which generally takes a bit longer than a typical session. During this session, we gather information about your personal history, current concerns, and treatment goals. This helps me understand your needs, identify areas to focus on, and determine the best approach to support your growth and well-being. By the end, you’ll have a clear understanding of how we can work together moving forward.

Appointments
Therapy appointments are not for crisis situations. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. You can also call/text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), available 24/7.
Getting to the root.
Many of us carry not only our own struggles but also the weight of family histories and cultural expectations. I understand how these layers can impact your well-being, and I provide a compassionate, culturally aware space for healing. Reaching out is the first step toward honoring your story and creating the growth you deserve.
In our work together, you can expect to start with tools and strategies that support your well-being right away, even as we take time to build trust and deepen understanding of your unique needs. As therapy progresses, we’ll gently face the challenges and emotions that may have been avoided, approaching them with care, compassion, and steady support. My goal is to help you develop practical skills for daily life while also promoting deeper healing and lasting growth.
